Member spamming other members

Received an email supposedly from Kadija Fidelia trying to get me to reply to her/him.

Is this person a member, in which case she needs to be banned.

If not, has someone somehow been able to scrape all the members' email addresses from this site?

The email ends with "Kisses, Please There is something important i want to tell you" and has subject "Hello how are you doing."

James.

No, just yours, and everyone else who uses their email address as their member name. You will be at risk for this as long as you put your email address in such a public space.

James, you don't explain why you think that the WCG is involved, but anyway, I Googled the name and Kadija Fidelia shows up in a lot of forums (always with the same format: "My name is kadija fidelia, (kadijafidelia@yahoo.com I was reading your profile and I think we have much in common"). Sounds like a spammer/scammer to me.

Whilst somewhere in Help there's a warning not to use your real world name and email addresses as user names, would suggest WCG puts a link to that help in the registration page with a title such as "Considerations in choosing a member name!".

At all times you can change your member name [damage control] by going to Settings > My Profile . The system checks if the newly chosen name is available. All your contributions transfer to the changed name.
