Is there any way to edit the event log WITHOUT stopping the agent?

Seriously novel, but you can configure how many lines the current log shows:
<max_event_log_lines>N</max_event_log_lines> Maximum number of lines to display in BOINC Manager's Event Log window (default 2000, 0 means no limit). New in 7.1.2 In paste there were a few more cc_config.xml options to set the log sizes <max_stderr_file_size>N</max_stderr_file_size> Specify the maximum size of the standard error log file (stderrdae.txt); default is 2 MB. <max_stdout_file_size>N</max_stdout_file_size> Specify the maximum size of the standard out log file (stdoutdae.txt); default is 2 MB. Sample: <max_stdout_file_size>3145728</max_stdout_file_size> equals 3 MB. NB: A Client restart may be needed to have changes take effect! Live editing, no can do though. |
