What's up with the 0000 UTC stats?

Looks like the statistics are down considerably from the previous 14 days. Each project is down except for maybe OET. Even the global stats were down compared to the previous 14 days. Was expecting a slight drop in FAH but expected to see some slight growth in the other projects as crunchers moved to new other projects. Overall, I would expect the global numbers to stay within the 14 day range as they shouldn't be impacted by moving between projects; there should just be a slight reallocation among the remaining sciences. Just seems strange....

Oh, sorry! I had to switch off a few machines due to the hot weather here, but didn't expect to have such a huge impact! ;-))

OK, seriously. It's odd indeed, I was expecting a similar trend.

Re: What's up with the 0000 UTC stats?

So happens the same 'School's Out' weekend last year showed a similar CPU years drop. Add to this the FA@H end of new work supply and many who've not switched, or overworked WCG [resource share] racing towards badge glory and there's no real shock [to me]. Did anyone hear of any 'We'd like to keep you aboard initiative' (pro-active)?

BTW, it's the 'Have to proof again' phase, members switching to other sciences. OET e.g. is today projected to be 10 years up from Friday.

Today's numbers are higher than average at BOINCstats:

Re: What's up with the 0000 UTC stats?

One thing you need to know about BS is, they miss imports and then it gets added to the next one **, so Sunday is that what they are, nonsense, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning added together, the prior day entry having failed to catch the afternoon in time. ***

edit: This expresses it in numbers: http://boincstats.com/en/stats/15/project/detail/lastDays . At least, if WCG has a failed update, they rebuild the history, but they had no need to do so.

** Rather, the way they seem to work is taking the new cums and then subtract the previous cums they had to come to a day entry.

*** As exports are 4 times a day, the Sunday number with presently 120 million credit more looks like 5 quarts compared to Friday.

Re: What's up with the 0000 UTC stats?

Could have seen that coming ;>)

Morning stats, post weekend end of FA@H:

15th 211:015:18:09:39
08th 223:287:13:18:20
01st 217:105:16:21:04
25th 219:010:16:51:20

Of course this could include a set of FA@H work on office machines that were off during the weekend, but morning numbers do not indicate so... Sunday, full day 139K results, Monday morning 62.4K. But for further analysis, looks to hint at 'Summer's In'

I rather there is something else up. My daily amount for WCG this morning was half of what I used to get each day for the last 30 days or so, disregarding a recent drop and catchup the next day... confused

Re: What's up with the 0000 UTC stats?

Can you be explicit... years [CPU time] measure, results, points. If you have only half the CPU runtime check all cores are running and the elapsed/cpu time ratio is > 90%. There's no enduring validation bottlenecks, but that you can find out on your RS pages.
