Hey guys, I´ve been following Fight AIDS for some time and I´m confused about its progress:
- First it was supposed to end around 4th June - Then it continued sending working units although it said 100% - Later it run out of working units for some time - Now there is more work to do, and we´re back to normality in terms of results obtained. However, the results don´t show up in the front page, so it looks like the project is not being considered as a work-in-progress (at least not for the show). I think there should be some clear explanation about what is going on, some orientative deadline, etc, and get back the daily front page information if the project keeps unfinished. I openned a new thread because: - The Estimated Completion Date Thread isn´t suitable for this post anymore (full of new other topics). - This information should be accessible, not having to search through loads of posts. |

On all counts, don't disagree with you. If you wish to see the official word, there's a summary post in Start Here of all what the project scientists had to say, captured in preset, giving a list of all their posts sorted from latest to earliest "Forum Posts by Project Primary Investigators & Scientists ". In this case Art Olson [mgl1] gave indication the project is going to go on for quite some time. More so, the BEDAM phase is in Beta now which will be the home-in using the analyzed data of the FAAH/FAHV computations. Summary: I'm sure that by the time the BEDAM phase is being launched, the front page will get a reinstatement of the FightAIDS@Home project and the progress percent on the research page is being recalibrated.
