I got one my AMD A8-6500 Linux 64-bit.
----------------------------------------After 2:56 CPU time it is at 20.3%. Definitely sounds better than before. AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

I got several of these new betas and one has started so far. The speedup indeed looks interesting! This machine does production WUs in 21.5-22.5 hours. The beta has done 17% in 2h38m33s, so that extrapolates to ~15.5 hours (this is a Core i7-3930K running openSUSE 13.2). Nice work! I will keep an eye on what happens on the other rigs.

That's good to compare with my i7-3930k running windows 7 pro 64-bit. Runtime there with hyperthreading is ~13 hours/wu. Let's wait and see. ![]() |

Therefore I wonder, armstrdj, have you tried to build and test a 32-bit module for Linux too ? I'm running 32-bit linux, so it's certainly there. A machine that averaged about 60 hrs for its last two WUs has hit the 10% mark in this beta at 3.5hrs. If it continues at the same rate, this will be a massive improvement. Because I don't think it is something that we can do at our level. |

I just finished 8 tasks. Average time was just over 13.5 hours each. System is a Core i7-3770, hyper-threading enabled, Ubuntu 14.04.03 LTS.
I haven't done any production work on FAAHv2 so I can't compare times. |

I have some more statistics
Core i7-2600 19.1 -> 13.5h (-29%) Core i7-3930K 22.0h -> 15.2h (-31%) Xeon E3-1230 20.8 -> 13.8h (-34%) All 3 have hyperthreading enabled. The 2600 runs openSUSE 13.1, the rest 13.2. I have no data for my Opterons as betas haven't started there yet. From Eric Kaiser's remark it is clear that we haven't fully caught up with the Windows executable, but it is a healthy speedup and the gap is not embarrassing any longer...! |

Observation: In a very smart move by someone, on one of my rigs that is not signed up to FA@H 2 but is signed up for beta, I see a solitary production wu running for comparison. Early days yet but after an hour and a half the beta has completed ~50% more
