Re: Hunting Tool 2.0p RC2 test

See up in this thread... had it running on W10 under 10240, but it was kicked off when going to 10586... simply was told it was incompatible on inserting the setup disc, official Office Home and Student DVD. Anyway, the non-authoritative compatibility table for Office confirms that except for the Office starter, 2010 is fit for W10. http://www.keynotesupport.com/windows/microso...compatibility-chart.shtml

Re: Hunting Tool 2.0p RC2 test

A disproportionate amount of 'labour' went into the configuration form, but now it appears to work as intended... fetches previous member input (or dummy for starters), and has 2 colorful buttons (from a public art site ), which are required to be used... no escaping out. biggrin . Tooltips tell what to do, in case the field labels are not clear enough.

Screenshot refreshed in post up in thread, oh and green tabs mean these projects had recent activity... 12 hourly history at project level is auto-maintained there.

ToDo: Reload the member input form with warning if the account and verification keys are not 32 character hex. Yes I can tongue

hmmm, the forums are very quite, meteorological autumn blues maybe cowboy

Re: Hunting Tool 2.0p RC2 test

Before climbing on the pushbike (something thé donald might want to do for a change), why not KISS it before someone else does, just scrape My Profile in on first pass and populate the Acc and Verf keys in... no user arduous/meticulous input, copy/paste could be done too, no validation needed. Only re-scrape if the email address changes or password, or membername.

Hasta la pasta kiss

Re: Hunting Tool 2.0p RC2 test

Twas a long dreary day of reading reading reading, coding, testing, and more from scratch which forced to add yet another reference library, MS WinHTTP Services v 5.1, but now we got something for the under 18, if they were allowed in here. frustrated

Vi prisentados...

All that's needed is the initial entry of name/password and country locale, hit save and the tool launches a script to go out and fetch all the codes, stealthily, as the know-how will remain stealthed, then refreshes the member credential screen to populate
d all the keys and codes fields, and injects the appropriate ones into the query maps... kind of ready to rock and roll.

The yellow fields can be selected for copying, but they can not be edited... that's what is what I-Robot is assigned to do. tongue

Buonanotte

Note to self: Move Country Locale field to be immediately below password, and reorder tab index and field locks.

Re: Hunting Tool 2.0p RC2 test

A constant voyage of "what's this, what's that, could I do this, could I do that"... Yes I can biggrin . The final setup form, the Get button to go again **. After initializing with member name, password and country locale, moved up as planned, the Save button, edge now RGB coded to take on same hue, checks if the account key is present, and if not, goes to get everything, confirms in a brief popup the data is secure and loads the form with the key codes to show it's true... trust me. angel

Got confirmation from the only tester, that all now looks dandy on the main page. Thx so much for confirming.

dancing

** If all else fails Get will fetch all the account codes and stores them in background, then refreshes the form... double whammy, kind of.

Re: Hunting Tool 3.0c

The Thanksgiving release is out with fully button prog driving ribbon (2007 code-base), color-coded to emphasize their group/function relationship, all with shortcut keys for those who prefer keyboard speed over mousing. Each has help telling what it does, when it was last ran, how many records there are to pour over, like the archive help tells there are almost 185K in the database. The profile manager option gives direct access to the device manager elements and My Projects for the fastest possible flip-flopping what you crunch and much more to essentially be able to do all you can do to manage your crunching stats from inside the all. According the compatibility checker only minor changes needed to allow running on Office versions earlier than 2013, and loss of gloss on the charting pieces... no mini-charts. Under the hood, massive speed improvement... pulling the worked-on data in arrays, do to it what's needed and only then write out the data made archiving e.g. 30x faster, plus performance remains constant, be it 1000, 10000, 100000, 1000000 records in store... of course the intertube's I/O speed helps, but pulling 17500 records from WCG in under a minute is not so shabby at just 8MB effective.

Want to help test and put the package through it's paces, or translate the help screens and pop-ups to another language, loaded while picking your tongue of choice in the Member Setup form, then PM me on the Berkeley forum PM system. 'Pay it forward' as they say. Otherwise, it's as production ready as can be both for who get automatic signing or not, at which time the manual log-in screen is offered... just a click if the cookie did get stored.

BTW, pity the My Projects page does not have a picklist of profiles against which to apply the mass update (like the Beta selection page has), as when not including OET, the Androids run dry pretty soon. sad

Re: Hunting Tool 3.0c

Overwhelming participation in helping testing, not, meantime added many error catch routines to make feedback easy... just screenshot imgur, dropbox, pm notify back

The statusbar piece tells where specific things started arguing with the user.

To top it off, come up with an outline strategy how to never miss a result, knreed wont get the chance to pull any more fast ones, yet do just a lot less API calls, but this wont be in a beta build until the Xmas edition comes out, Boxing day maybe.

Re: Hunting Tool 3.0e

UDFs have been in the tool for a while, but never had found a way to add help to them, until today... now it's as simple as typing the home-brew function, hit fx and voila, it shows the 123 (once upon a time the best spreadsheet program ever, after symphony), 1, get the input value, 2, do the magic mumbo, 3, set the format and voilà, unix time in seconds converted to what then is human readable, set non-volatile, so it wont execute until the input data changes, which could be as many a on 19000 active results status records, in the need for speed.

Oh and the date/time does read left to right, so computers know how to properly sort the records, down to the second exact.
