Hello,
I have a problem adding wcg to my projects. As it was not possible creating an account in BOINC for wcg I added an account direct. But now I can't add it by the find account button, I get an error saying "wrong password". I guess the problem is not even the password, but the username - my BOINC username is already used in wcg. Is there some way to tell BOINC the account name it should log on to? I would really like to contribute to this project but at the moment this seems not possible for me this way. greetings Markus |

If you add a project, pick the WCG url from the list, then a screen comes up to ask for member name / password, which is identical to what you just used to post here.
Don't remember if for WCG you get the question of new or existing member, but existing member you take before proceeding to the member/pw screen. |

I've had a similar issue on my phone. New phone, downloaded BOINC & added other projects just fine, WCG tells me my account doesn't exist. Log onto the website just fine. Running Android Marshmallow, so may be something to do with the new OS...?

Please make sure that your BOINC username and World Community Grid username are exactly the same for both accounts.

There's a little trick [which WCG has of course not documented], but if attaching fails, then in second or third or fourth instance a miracle may occur... Type in the email address which you registered in the My Profile section. This trick seems to only work if you have more projects attached to your Android client. [I'm talking OTOH, off top of head], but it did work for me when I found this hint, somewhere at the base of the rainbow, where treasures are buried.
