Hmmm, the bulk of the initial work here is done..........Easynews are helping to speed things along too.

So, the pup is testing the waters over at Rosetta@home.........as it is a complimentary project anyway.
Will continue returning work here too of course....especially if they give us cancer work biggrin

Anyway, our team of one, for the time being at least is called "Koco and co"........crunching in my daughters name.

Lilsmap here............Koco there biggrin

I figured it is a good time to test the waters with BOINC so......anyway. smile

Good to be fighting on numerous fronts.
May as well wind down the FaD effort now sad

laughing devilish

I was worried too for a while. Have had a few setbacks this week - my dualie gets upset when it sends in two wu's simultaneously (flaky wireless link), and my son lost me c.800 points yesterday whilst playing ricochet during WU benchmarking. sigh.

Jonathan, you seem fairly dedicated to this crunching malarkey wink

Have you thought about trying Dimes to run alongside WCG - we have a Crunchers Inc team over there and can always use someone else to swap jokes with biggrin

I should point out Dimes isn't really any good for people with download limits - it's mapping the internet so your machines ping other IP addresses to see if they exist/ respond.

Check links at the DC Zone if you (or anyone else) fancies trying it out . . . .

Just to clarify the point in green...

Our
initial testing shows that a single default implementation of DIMES will use about 256Mb of your download limit per month. Many of us run it at full throttle which is closer to 512Mb per month. However it's possible to run it as low as 24.5Mb month if you like. I have a 50Gb limit and I run 8 agents at full throttle, without any issues as it only uses 4Gb of my download quota.

It will run in parallel on the same machines as WCG without much affect on its output (maybe drop a couple of points per device, but I've not noticed any hit really), so I don't see any discussing it here as it is a complementary DC project as opposed to a competitor?

PS. Hi Everyone... sorry for the long absence - been soooooo busy recently!!!
