WU succeeding in exactly 0 seconds

Seen in BOINC Manager:
100.000% Ready to report 00:00:00 --- 2016-03-28T03:25:50 CEST Outsmart Ebola Together 7.19 OET1_0001901_xZAGP-FW_rig_7771_0

However, the Event Log reports:
2016-03-18T17:10:58 CET | World Community Grid | Starting task OET1_0001901_xZAGP-FW_rig_7771_0
2016-03-18T17:19:20 CET | World Community Grid | Computation for task OET1_0001901_xZAGP-FW_rig_7771_0 finished
2016-03-18T17:19:22 CET | World Community Grid | Started upload of OET1_0001901_xZAGP-FW_rig_7771_0_r429702981_0
2016-03-18T17:19:24 CET | World Community Grid | Finished upload of OET1_0001901_xZAGP-FW_rig_7771_0_r429702981_0

Nevertheless, the job-log (/var/lib/boinc/job_log_www.worldcommunitygrid.org.txt) says:
1458317961 ue 547.039679 ct 0.008297 fe 9149136406022 nm OET1_0001901_xZAGP-FW_rig_7771_0 et 0.764903 es 0

And that would mean that the WU ran for a dazzling 0.764903 seconds.
To compare, two other WUs from the job-log:
1443440284 ue 16441.320519 ct 10692.550000 fe 38241390890798 nm MCM1_0017187_7771_0 et 10955.722793 es 0
1443663206 ue 3240.062738 ct 2865.199000 fe 8857460416303 nm OET1_0001401_xEBGP-L_rig_8056_0 et 3052.077719 es 0

Maybe the WU ran from 17:10:58 to 17:19:20 (wallclock) and when at 100% it decided to jump back from 8:22 minutes to 0 seconds. confused

Re: WU succeeding in exactly 0 seconds

'succeeding'? Is that what it says/said on the Result Status page for your and any wingman's copy? (Sorry, but I don't see the server side declarations... the post slides way off my screen)

Re: WU succeeding in exactly 0 seconds

dang adriverhoef, how much did that server cost you? Think of how results you can do in a day if it takes 0 seconds to finish the shorter WUs laughing

j/k

Rob, you could slide the webpage to the right or you could copy/save/view the images in my posting (maybe using a plugin extension in your browser) or you could lurk at the source-code of this forum's webpage and copy/view the URLs of the images:

There are many options! biggrin

Re: WU succeeding in exactly 0 seconds

Can do a lot more things, like tell you that the forum rules ask to not post images over 640 600 pixel wide wink [these forums have no auto-downsizing, and it's almost like redesigned the forum layout so it remain readable on tablets... after all OET runs on Android too].

Sounds like misreported time, it happens that the CPU part of the record does not get communicated. Because there's no CPU time, you also got the grant credit of, drums rolling, zero.
