BOINC Install with active directory

Hi,

I was running WCG on multiple XP PCs, in an Windows active directory environment. T'was fine.
I had to replace my PCs and OS last year and switched to W8.1 PCs. I think I made a mistake in the installation choices because when another user is using any computer, it is not computing for WCG. Useless to say that my stats went down ;)

I'm now upgrading my 30+ PCs on W10 and since I'm taking the time I'm looking for a solution to this problem.

In simple English (or French ;) could somebody help me through a simple install or point me to a thread. What I need is a simple install : in my dreams, when anybody logs in, Boinc would be running with my WCG account.
I'm not a IT genius nor a scientist, so thanks for keeping it simple biggrin

Thanks for the help!

Re: BOINC Install with active directory

I think it's a "Service Install" that you're looking for. See the FAQ BOINC: Installing the client, Screenshot Guided. I've no experience of BOINC in an Active Directory environment, though; you ought to check the FAQ Mass / Bulk Network Deployment (incl. use of Active Directory function).

Re: BOINC Install with active directory

All right I will do that. An install reinstall with new settings.
It was v5 and I'm running v7 , but the screens seem to look the same.
I'll do it manually since I'm not certified ;) and since I'm going through every work station anyway.

thanks smile
