Well I'm a few days away from my Ruby badge. If this project is finishing up around Feb 2017, there is no way my laptop will get enough Zika WUs done to get to Emerald, so I guess I'll be soon be switching back over to the Aids2 project again and see how it goes. it chopped away on 8th of Feb: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/...ad_thread,39475_offset,20 so I'd suggest you get yourself some cheap Android with quad-cores!  |

KLiK, I suggest you to read ErikaT post about the completion/future of this project and come back and rethink your pist. In short and especially for you: 8,000 compounds nearly done (that is the progressbar referring to) Millions of compounds waiting.... Man, if you didn't say that - we might have another quad-core Androind on ZIKA project...  Looking forward to crunch more...thanks, didn't get that info! |

The completion date has advanced to 2017-01-30! 2 months of work left.
---------------------------------------- ErikaT mentioned millions more compounds to screen in this post. I'm not sure if that will be a phase 2 or more work added to this project. I haven't seen an answer to that question yet. Cheers   |

I'm not sure if that will be a phase 2 or more work added to this project. I haven't seen an answer to that question yet. Cheers If they are smart they made it Phase II. It they stick to current phase, people who have normal PC but already collected long badge (1 year or more) might moves to different science. But by making it Phase II, everybody will downloading the work unit like crazy to gain 14,45,90,180 badges. Psychology. The more you know  |

Thousands? Millions? How about billions.
I wonder if we're all using the same units of measurement. From the project website: http://openzika.ufg.br/experiments/ As of November 18th, 2016: We have received 100% of the results for Experiments 1A, 1B (NS5 class), 2A, 2B, and 2C (NS3 helicase class). We have received 46% of the results for Experiment 3A (NS1 class). 1A = 132 million docking jobs 1B = 42 million 2A = 354 million 2B = 360 million 2C = 54 million 3A = we have received 160 million out of 348 million. In total, we have submitted ~ 1.6 billion docking jobs, and we have already received ~ 1.1 billion results. |

I think that a "compound" isn't the same as a "docking job" or a "result". From the page about docking, last sentence: "we will screen a collection of millions of compounds against Zika protein homology models".

If the completion time is true, I still have 4.5 yrs to go for the 100yrs diamond on that day... now I am really not sure if should I risk...
