High proportion of repair jobs

Out of my first downloads of SCC, a high proportion are already repair jobs. The erroring device always shows as
Microsoft Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64 Edition, (06.03.9600.00), client version 7.2.47
and the error is always
couldn't start app: CreateProcess() failed - A required privilege is not held by the client.
(0x522).
It's shame that a machine (or group of identical machines) is being wasted in this way and is causing additional wasted load on the grid servers. I've even noticed the identical problem with HSTB units. Is anything ever done to contact the relevant member to see if the problem can be solved?

Re: High proportion of repair jobs

When a new project is launched, each device gets a new chance to prove itself for the new project. For devices that return nothing but errors, it will still take a bit before they reach the point where they are no longer sent work units at all. This can skew the proportion of repair jobs in the beginning hours of a new project, but it should reach a more normal state fairly quickly.

Re: High proportion of repair jobs

Certainly my W8.1 did perfectly fine, whenever there were chance receipts.

BETA_ SRA1_ 0000001_ Bct-A_ 95806_ 0-- Microsoft Windows 8.1 Core x64 Edition, (06.03.9600.00) 708 Valid 1/26/17 00:53:49 1/26/17 18:25:45 3.67 78.0 / 78.0

It ran alone at that! Zero redundancy.

(Actually sneaked a dozen, 2 in PV jail)

Al, thanks for reminding me of that common sense fallback. I assume that contacting individual members is too inefficient a use of the team's time.

Hehe, I'm not blaming all W8.1, just that all the SCC (and HSTB) errors that I've seen recently are that one(?) machine "signature" - I suspect that someone is downloading large numbers of units and is failing to start every single one, with error returns a few minutes after downloading.

Re: High proportion of repair jobs

Almost all tasks I'm getting are resends.. There must be something wrong here.

EDIT: First error on my side:
SCC1_ 0000000_ Bct-A_ 29429_ 0--
(unknown error) - exit code 194 (0xc2)
From log:

Re: High proportion of repair jobs

I got a few new SCC WUs, most are _1 or _2, but this morning I noticed I have a _3 in the queue, so there is a good deal of clean up going on. But so far the few I have completed seem to finish fine.

Re: High proportion of repair jobs

I have all of the same error on every SCC1 I have gotten:

Result Log
Result Name: SCC1_ 0000000_ Bct-A_ 44112_ 1--
<core_client_version>7.0.27</core_client_version>
<![CDATA[

<error_code>-120</error_code>
<error_message>signature verification failed</error_message>
</file_xfer_error>

</message>

I am suspending this project until I can figure out why. This is on a machine which has run MCM flawlessly for months. It also ran quite a number of the beta jobs for this project with no problems. Any insight on this from anyone would be appreciated.
Thanks
