Honestly it is NOT OK to change the computer screensaver without even asking. I was willing to contribute but who knows what else this agent does to your computer without your permission therefore I am uninstalling it.

I'm sorry you've had an unpleasant experience. Boinc Manager is open source so all is known about what it does to your computer. The screen saver is optional. You can unselect it during installation. Also you can deselect it on your computer as you can do with any screensaver. |

How about the default IS Unselected, i.e., you selected it during the installation process, a classic case of not reading what is being Okayed. . Changing back is as simple as visiting the desktop personalization, IIRC rightclick on desktop to start the process.
