Few can match the Andraxians for dedication  VAIO GRX616, as usual, your posts are always positive and most welcome. In about two weeks, I will upgrade my backup PC to the AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Toledo 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Dual Core. That should help in getting more results! I do have to keep one PC as a backup because of my business, and I do not use it as of yet. I plan on having more PC's to crunch in the immediate future for crunching reasons. Dedicated? I'm adding another PC this coming week. In lieu of some crunchers who do not wish to crunch FA@H WUs, I am building a PC that will only do FA@H WUs. I upgraded the proc from my laptop to a 2.0 dothan, and my 1.6GHz banias is sitting here doing nothing right now. I'll be getting an appropriate mobo, RAM, PSU, and it will be my FA@H cruncher. :)

Chowbow, I think that the AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ that I am getting will be able to handle those new FA@H WUs quite well. I'll run both work units.

I'm spending this earlier part of Thanksgiving installing Linux on an old laptop. Got it up and running and I'm quite lost. Got a lot of poking around to do. I'll probably get this bad bear crunching, and it'll be off to another Linux install an some old hardware for crunching too. Should be adding a number of rigs this weekend. :) |
