Looks like Intel has given up on their integrated mobile graphics department, and doesn't want to give the juggernaut that has become NVIDIA any more money. I think its a win-win for AMD. They have been squeezed out of the mobile market for some time and can only really find their cpus in low end systems. Between the mobile graphics being paired with Intel, and their new offerings of ryzen mobile processors rated at 15w, they should pick up a bit of the market share.
I have built and used both Intel and AMD based desktops, and like both. When researching, I just go with whatever is the most bang for the buck at the time. This time, it was a Ryzen 1700 system. |

----------------------------------------Love my ryzen 1800x. About time we had some good competition. What I really look forward to are low end windows tablets with real world 20 hour battery life running arm processors. Not the y processors intel is pushing that throttle under full load, unlike atom variants. (I love you z3740 in my transformer book t100).
Crunching for the betterment of human kind and the canines who will always be our best friends.
