Hi javif,
The short answer is "no", but let's make sure you know what's happening so there shouldn't be any misunderstanding. The WUs should each start from their previous checkpoint, and only restart at zero if no checkpoint has been taken. SCC should checkpoint fairly often. You can check to see when the previous checkpoint was taken by selecting a WU and clicking the Properties button to the left in the Tasks tab (in the Advanced View) of BOINC Manager. It is possible to set a minimum time between checkpoints by setting the "Request tasks to checkpoint at most every" field at the bottom of the Computing tab in the Options -> Computing preferences dialog. If you have that set for a very long time, that might explain what you're seeing. The only other thing I can think of is that's there's something stopping the checkpoint happening, such as a lack of disk space or a permission issue, but I would be surprised if you were not already aware of that or, at least, that there are messages in the log of the WUs. Hope that helps! |

While crunching SCC I noticed task are set back to 0% when I restar my computer. Maybe the answer can be found here. (OET1 is also based on VINA.) The only difference would be the percentage at which checkpointing takes place. |

Hi
Apis Tintinnambulator, I think this was the case, Spanish translation of boinc gui is not very accurate and I had some value set recently to higher than 120 min (so meaning no checking for SCC at all). Just changed it back to 5 mins and will le tyou all know the results :) Thx for your supportĀ” KR, Javi |

Return those to default.
----------------------------------------You can also go in Tasks, select SCC1 WU & click on Properties. You'll see the last check point there! ;) |
