running on raspberry pi

Hi folks,
I installed boinc on a raspberry pi (Linux catandmouse 4.4.11-v7+ #888 SMP Mon May 23 20:10:33 BST 2016 armv7l GNU/Linux). When I try to update the project, it says

06-Apr-2018 08:47:11 [World Community Grid] This project doesn't support computers of type arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf

Is there anything I can do about it?
Thanks

Re: running on raspberry pi

Yeah unfortunately ARM are not supported on anything but Android at this time (Edit: for WCG at least). I think there are some android OS that can be loaded onto a Pi, there have been discussions of this elsewhere in the android sub-forum. But I don't have any Pi systems at this time, so I am not much help. Sorry.

Re: running on raspberry pi

I got it to work following most of the instructions at
https://howtoraspberrypi.com/install-android-raspberry-pi/
I didn't install the play store app. I just used the web browser to downloaded boinc directly from the Berkeley site.

You need to use the Raspberry Pi 3 B. Other versions won't work or will be very slow.
I get about 4,300 points per day running 4 cores on SCC. It does 9-12 WU a day.

I have one of the stick on heat sinks for it and have a fan blowing on it, otherwise it will overheat. I'm also using a direct connection to the LAN instead of WiFi.
