Just thumbing through the ebuyer website and what do you know, Threadripper 2 2990WX available for pre-order and expected on the 13th August for only £ 1,639.98
must..... resist..... put the card down Paul, Mrs D will go mental....resist...argh 3GHz base and 4.2 GHz turbo, if that's not worth about a lifetimes moaning I don't know what is. |

AMD lets slip that its Threadripper 32-core CPU is over 50% faster than Intel’s Core i9-7980XE Let slip.... Yeah, suuuuuuurrrrrreeeeeeee...... I saw yesterday evening as well that TR2 is available. Too expensive for me, but maybe next year I might be able to grab a 2950x to build a new workstation and pass my 1700 system along to my son as his next gaming machine. |

Depends on how long you expect that lifetime to be. If I blow £1600 on a processor and my wife finds out - not very long So, you know what you have to do....don't let her find out!  |
