Maybe, error with calculating time

I don't know where to post this, so I post it here.
How is average run time per day calculated? It shows to me that I am calculating 34 hours per day: https://imgur.com/a/39oc2cu

Also it shows me that total run time is 0:021:18:58:27 (more than 21 day), while I joined 14 days ago.

Is it normal?

Re: Maybe, error with calculating time

Hi al.bez, welcome to the forum, and welcome to WCG!

I believe that the answer to your question probably lies in when the stats are updated. All stats are updated with data from midnight (UT), but some stats (those on the My Contribution page) are also updated at midday. Also bear in mind that contribution stats only count Work Units (WUs) which are Valid. So, especially when starting, there is some delay between returning WUs and their run time being counted. Once you machine has done enough work on any particular project to be regarded as reliable, most WUs will count immediately upon return.

If you don't think that that explains your numbers, you could try posting in the Web Site section of the forum. Or maybe someone else has a better explanation? But the numbers don't look unusual to me.

If your device has more than one processor, that's how you can have more than than 24 hours in a day. Or when you have more than one device.

Yes, I have multiple processors, so it explains everything.
Thanks for answer!

Hehe. I was looking at the wrong problem. I just saw that 14*35hrs < 21 days. As I said, that's probably just to do with when things get updated. But, yes, there's plenty of people out there who run many days a day. I get nearly 10 from my kit at the moment.

It's good to have you on board, al.bez. Keep 'em coming!
