Re: Is anybody still getting work?

Bad? no but having asked for work every 4 minutes for the past couple of days I think this 64bit atom with windows 32bit is perhaps not going to get any despite the info page saying 32bit available

Re: Is anybody still getting work?

Does WCG support the atom processor.....?
I guess if it supports the x86_64 instruction set, don't know why the sciences wouldn't run there.

Re: Is anybody still getting work?

OK so today I managed to get 2 WU's that appear to be running OK. The longer of the two is on target for about 2.5 days

I am hoping to get more once the project qualifies this rig.

Running 4 at a time should be possible with 875MB of ram still available

It is a shame that this pad is pretty much stuck with windows 32bit.

A lot of folks far more clever than I found it really a hack to get Linux to run at all

I have no problem getting Linux to run on my machine; a Dell Precision T7600 running
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.10 (Santiago)
Boinc runs well in this environment, and the World Community Grid software does too.
Back when I was running a dual processor 32-bit Xeon processor, and an earlier release of RHEL, it worked too.

Some people have difficulty running 32-bit applications in this environment, but this seems to be due to the fact that they have not downloaded and installed the necessary 32-bit compatibility libraries.

That may be part of your problem. It is true that there are very few work units, but the best way to get them is to look at *:17 and *:47

Not having "asked for work every 4 minutes"

Re: Is anybody still getting work?

If there is the question. Yes, my atom n270 runs wcg (Win7). One wu runs up to 160 hours.
Why that? The netbook gets hstb wus, my verry faster Ryzen not...

Re: Is anybody still getting work?

I have started using a formula of running only HSTB and FAHB. Two computers running this way for about 3 months have pulled in about 340 units for a run time about 100 days. Prior to running this way I had not achieved the bronze badge running the project since its inception.
