Is this because SCC is running dry and volunteer machines are migrating over to Zika but maybe the servers aren't allowed to give out more WUs than normal? I think you hit the nail on the head. Since SCC ran dry yesterday, this is the only other project running VINA work units. I am one of the people who migrated all my Linux machines to Zika, with one Windows machine still chugging away on MCM. I think once the techs get back in, they may adjust how the feeders are filled to accommodate the extra demand for Zika. You may want to adjust how often those machines connect to the internet, if you are able. Cheers

This temporary(?) shortage of VINA WUs points out the vulnerability to having no work available faced by people who have gone to the effort & cost of setting up Android devices.
Perhaps WCG should be looking to port one or more non-VINA projects to Android. |

You may want to adjust how often those machines connect to the internet, if you are able. Definitely~ I was able to get a good buffer on one, just need to do that on the other now. Cheers man~ :) |

Yea, I'm on Linux and I'm getting "Tasks are committed to other platforms". The same thing happened around this time last night for an hour or two. I wonder if some big hitter is draining the pool?

Other BOINC projects have a "Server Status" web page where one can check if there are tasks/work units available. For example, SETI has this: https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_server_status.php] :. Is there a similar web page for WCG? Thanks
