Hello,
----------------------------------------Is something up with this project? Basing my benchmarks on a Ryzen 1800x, my Workunit time, example WU from yesterday: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/....do?workunitId=1259107178 To today: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/....do?workunitId=1260461103 Unless I'm late to the party, and I very well may be, but these generally give right around 78 plus credits - but today I've been getting a constant stream that last for a matter of minutes and are giving single digit credits, rather than the 2 hours generally expected. Is this a different type of WU that I am unaware of? Just making sure! thanks.

I was just about to make a thread because I noticed the same thing. I usually average 2000 SCC workunits a day; today, it was 6200. On my dual EPYC 7301 system, I'm used to seeing .1% increase in progress every 6-7 seconds. Today, it's between .3% increase and .8% increase per second. Some workunits are being completed in less than 2 minutes.
----------------------------------------Wondering if there's a separate set of workunits for android devices with less computing, and they're being redirected to windows/linux devices instead. Otherwise, I'm wondering if there's something wrong with the units. Any ideas? ![]() |

Granted it is a OnePlus 6t running the snapdragon 845, but still. Edit: What in the world happened to my device venues? I lost home, work and school, so this device is apparently set to crunch HST, FAH2 and SCC along with everything else attached to my account. This is going to be fun when there is no SCC work and Boinc, since it is getting slammed with 2-3 minute tasks, hits me with hundreds of FAH2 tasks I'll never be able to meet the deadline for. Time to disable that, again.

Interesting info wolfman. But if android devices are blasting through them like the desktops are, then it's probably not a special unit.
----------------------------------------The only other thing I've been able to figure out: all the units that have "_OPN-b_B_" seem to be the units that run "normally". (That's between 0.5 - 3 hrs for my systems). All the units that have "_OPN-b_C_" are the ones that finish after 0.5 - 15 minutes. As far as I can tell, the correlation is 100%. Whether that means it's a new type of unit (perhaps with fewer simulation per unit?), or if there's an issue with the units themselves, no idea. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by DrMason at Sep 9, 2019 5:40:01 AM] |

Same here. I normally do about 400 to 500 units per day, but at the halfway point today I am over 4000 units done. Let's see what the remainder of the day brings.
----------------------------------------EDIT: I am also getting an insane number of points for some units, along the lines of 180 to 200 BOINC points per hour for these short units on my Linux systems, but not the Windows systems. Normally I would be in the 30 to 40 BOINC points per hour range. Cheers

If I remember correctly - and I was only able to crunch them for a very short time - they were similar length to these, maybe a little longer. I'm noticing the same correlation you are - OPN-b_C_ are the shorter WUs. thanks

The website says that I have literally dozens of work units "in progress," but my Android BOINC Manager app has zero (0) tasks running. That being said, the phone was really warm, I might even say hot, until when I set "no new tasks" it cooled down.
----------------------------------------(By the way, when I said there are no tasks running, I mean that it's blank. Not "ready ri report" or something like that and, anyway, Android automatically reports when it uploads, no way to unset that I know of.) Now 68 new tasks are running, even though I had set "no new tasks" while the "tasks" screen was blank. 🤔

Its an old bug of boinc for android. If there are too much tasks it shows zero wus running.
