Thank you, Kevin.
9 days have passed since the last report. In that time, the last of the extreme laggards has moved on 5 generations to generation 028, whereas their leader has moved on 4 generations to 036. The last of the main batches has moved on 6 generations to 078. The current leading generation is 112, up 3 from 109. The leader of the extreme laggards is in generation 088 instead of 082, which amounts to 65 extreme laggards instead of 56 but Kevin has reported only 30. I have assumed that Kevin has been reporting the situation at midnight GMT (UTC) prior to his postings. Some of the discrepancy could be because the units were sent out before the generations became 'extreme'. The last of the original 6 extreme laggards has slipped by 2 generations; The definition for extreme laggard has remaned at -24 generations 85,677 units have been validated in the last 9 days (9,519.7 per day), compared with 174,704 results returned, so we theoretically have 3,350 more results awaiting validation. However, this should be reduced by the additional extreme results and as this has been an increase over several reports, it may be that these figures include some returns that became invalids or errors. 104 is the latest generation identified as labelled 'priority'. 23,201 (65.3%) of the units are in the priority generations. This is the highest it has been. Again this could be because the generations became 'priority' after the units were sent out. There are now 2,821,666 units to be crunched to finish the project. The average number of results returned over the last 10 days is down to 19,500.6 per day, so my target for completion is now calculated as 25 August 2022. This assumes no invalids or errors are included in those returns. It is becoming more likely that we will see the project finish before the end of 2022 due to the efforts to close up the laggards. My guess would be October 2022. Mike |

Mike,
I am a bit puzzled by Kevin's latest figures. They show 104 as being the max generation for Accelerated units, but 104 is not yet a priority generation as far as I am aware. (I had a non-priority 104 this morning (11 Nov) at 6:27 UTC.) And they show 88 as being the max generation for Extreme units, but the numbers in Kevin's table would make more sense (to me at least!) if 87 was the highest generation of the Extreme units. Cheers, Mark |

Mark
I can confirm your suspicion as regards to generation 104. I received a non-priority one about 7 hours after Kevin's posting. 103 is confirmed as 'priority'. However, I don't have any to confirm 087/088. My posting did contain doubts about his figures. He stated 30 'extreme' laggards but his listing indicated 65. If we use 087 then his listing indicates 38. If his listing was as at midnight UTC, as I have assumed, then they could have been reduced to 30 at the time of his posting. Likewise, if we take 103, that would mean his listing showing 18,265 (51.2%) 'accelerated' instead of 9,998. That could be partially accounted for by the 13,000 results that would have arrived between midnight and his posting. However, some would have had to go through 2 generations in that time, which is possible. His use of 088/104 might have been anticipatory! A reply from Kevin would be helpful. Mike |

11/09/2021 41:009:19:04:18 71,150,646 18,505 It is interesting that results returned has dropped lately. we are in the 18k range when the system can handle 21-22k results before we have to wait for tasks. For me personally, I'll have to slow my rate down to only at night due to the heat ( I really need a better cooling system for my box). |
