Since the launch of the OpenPandemic project a few days ago I've been unable to connect to the site with BOINC clients on 6 machines. 7th machine works fine. All are on the same network, all were crunching Africa Rainfall until suddenly constant error messages in the logs which read "World Community Grid | Scheduler request failed: HTTP internal server error". It constantly loops with these on all machines.
Some googling and wiki turned up results saying the problems were on the server side. So just giving a heads up in case something needs to be addressed. If it's just really overloaded servers, that's understandable too, however several fellow BOINC crunchers are crunching away just fine, and my one PC is working fine also, just the 6 other better machines cannot connect. Restarted clients, reset project, cleared data, even tried removing and adding the project back and then I couldn't connect to initialize the project. Leaning towards a server issue. Hopefully it's something easily correctable. |

Have you tried rebooting the machines?

Rebooted machines, rebooted router and modem. 1 is Ubuntu, and the rest are Windows 10.
There is 1 Ubuntu machine now on the same network which works totally fine. |

I experienced a similar issue and was able to get past it by changing the machine to one of the four standard profiles and then do an update and it should immediately resolve the problem. Not sure what caused it but it did happen around the launch of OpenPandemics

Thank you slakin. I will try that now.... I do believe they are all on a non default custom profile for the school venue.

Not sure what caused it but it did happen around the launch of OpenPandemics Thank you! This fixed the problem immediately upon a quick reconnect. Crunching away full force. I changed them all from school to default. The one working Linux box was already on Default. Good call slakin! |
