Greetings,
We are starting with only intel GPU for the start of this application. I would like to get some specific stats on these first. I am working with a member of the community to help get some testing done for this. I will post more about this beta soon. Thanks, -Uplinger |

1 appears to be working on Windows 7 64 bit but similar PC running Linux failed as below, as do other Linux PCs.

Well, my computer do request work for Intel GPU, but so far no luck in getting any WU's.

PMH,
----------------------------------------"ASSERTION FAILED: Double precision not supported on this device (if this is a literal, use '1.0f' not '1.0')" I think I read somewhere on another BETA Thread that the Beignet driver doesn't support Double-Precision. Or maybe the card itself doesn't support DP. Fired up my newer HP windows 10 laptop which usually doesn't crunch, but is the only computer I have with a Intel GPU to test. It has a i7-10510U with Intel UHD Graphics with Open CL 2.1. Got work units and seems to be crunching fine. So far its been running 6 min and 10% complete.
----------------------------------------Edit: I noticed the GPU throttling down when all the CPU's are also working, probably due to temps (its a thin and light laptop with a limited power budget) so I reduced the CPU usage to 25% max to use only 2 CPU threads + the integrated GPU (its an 4 core/8 thread chip). The GPU seems to be computing unabated like this, keeping the GPU clock above about 1 Ghz most of the time. There still are occasional periods of inactivity perhaps 10% of GPU time. An interesting thing is according to GPU-Z the Intel GPU is only using about 5-9 watts while reporting up to 100% load, which is quite amazing. Edit: 1st unit finished seemingly successful: 52:44 cpu (gpu?) time, 59:17 elapsed. [Edit 9 times, last edit by FlynRyan at Mar 5, 2021 7:17:38 PM] |

Hello,
on Win10 with Intel GPU i got 26 beta WUs, on my linux-machine with Intel GPU none. In the last beta I get WUs with this machine. |

Still nothing for my iGPU. I feel discriminated against

I got a unit on my windows machine with an i5-4570, with Intel HD 4600. It seems to be ok so far, should take about 1 - 1.25 hrs, it looks like.

Aha, I had to lower my Minimum work buffer to 0,25 (or lower I guess) Days. After that, I got 2 iGPU tasks immediately.
----------------------------------------Edit: 21% after 12 minutes on BETA_OPNG_0022004_00083_0. Checkpointing in itself works, but it's still wonky when it comes to time since last checkpoint. It adds much more time there, than the runtime of the WU. The first 5 checkpoints did reset that timer OK, but after that, it adds more time than the actual runtime. That could be a BoincTask problem of course, since the same function where you can follow that in real time, does not exist in Boinc Manager. (Tasks/Properties, does not update in real time when opened.) [Edit 2 times, last edit by Grumpy Swede at Mar 5, 2021 7:27:19 PM] |
