Re: Zooniverse

Jack007,

It's kind of like BOINC but it's you doing the work, not your PC.

I participate every now and then, mostly on the astronomy projects like Supernova Hunters, Catalina Outer Solar System Survey, Hubble Asteroid Hunter, etc

I've been a member since 2010.

Re: Zooniverse and other projects

Hello fellow crunchers,
I do not know Zooiverse, but research is gernerally a positve thing.

If you want to take part in a project that can be done simultaniously to BOINC,
I can recommend https://eyewire.org

It is focused on the human body/brain and in a way human health.

If you are in general looking for a list of citizen science projects, I would recommend
https://www.rechenkraft.net/wiki/Willkommen_beim_Verein_Rechenkraft.net_e.V./en

Available in English, Portugese and German
Best whishes and please, be careful and take security measures on COVID 19
A mask is a must
All the best

Re: Zooniverse

There are many things computers can't do or can't do as accurately as humans. Zooniverse has research projects in just about any discipline you can think of. You sign in and select any project you want to work on. My first project was identifying "plumes" on mars. They will let you go through a short tutorial identifying what the project is about and how to do it. You do as much or as little as you want. I usually do them when really bored or waiting on something. If you want to see what projects they have use the link below.
