Damones, founded in 1991, notorious party trasher from the 90s in Finland and northern Europe started as a bunch of DJs who got interested in Amiga500. While mainly concentrating on getting wasted and making terrible elecronic music and throwing kick ass raves, we actually had some time and interest to release couple of Amiga demos and sneak in something called "demoscene".
----------------------------------------After 30 years, we've moved to PC world and since we are lacking time for serious demo making, we decided to use our computers for something good this time. Inspired by the covid, we joined our forces in World Community Grid. Personal helloes from me also :-) Late addition in damones. Duncan recruited me around 12 years ago. Doing mostly photography and working with computers for a living.
----------------------------------------Favorite drinks Gin&Tonic and white russian.. and never pass a good vodka. Damones 1991 has just passed a one year of existence, so a little update.
----------------------------------------100 years of cpu time donated (#1,232) 1 billion points received (#240) 3 challenges participated, placed 1st - 3rd Also couple of new members, totaling 12 \o/ We still got room for more :-) We are having a 1 year birthday party next month since covid situation in finland seem to be settling down. It has been a fun year with this project! |
