Re: COVID Vaccinations

Nobody here have comments about how their body reacted after the vaccine shot??
My wife and myself (60 years old) got both the Pfizer shots. With the first shot there was just a little discomfort in the shoulder. For the second one, my wife didn't feel anything. I felt a little tired and achy joints one day after, but nothing that a couple of paracetamol tablets couldn't take care of. I was fully functional the whole time biggrin .

Re: COVID Vaccinations

US (Florida) - we got Moderna 1 and 2 in January and February. Sore arm, and I had a little blah-ness after #2. We're in our 70s.

Re: COVID Vaccinations

Pfizer X2
I had no side effects from either shot.

My arm was a little sore in the shot area for a day.

Soreness was like it is with any shot.

I am in my 70's.

In US, Pfizer x 2 my wife and I, March and April. Our second shot we both had mild flu like symptoms easily handled by Tylenol.

Re: COVID Vaccinations

There are shortages of the AZ because many are manufactured in India who need all that they produce at the moment. Also the EU has banned export of it even though some of the EU production facilities were created with money from UK and the vaccine itself was developed by Oxford University with UK money.

The EU has not banned exports of the Astrazeneca vaccine. The EU instituted export controls which is different. AFAIK, only 1 shipment of AZ vaccines was blocked by Italy back in March to Australia (250,000 doses, the Australians had a very understanding reaction, IIRC).

The EU has exported around 200 million doses of vaccines, which I believe puts it as the number 1 exporter of COVID-19 vaccines. UK, COVAX, etc continue receiving AZ doses.

Re: COVID Vaccinations

Partner and i (in the UK) have both had the first doses of the AZ vaccine. she had a sore arm, rash and the shivers for about a week. I had a sore arm for a couple of days and the shiver the next day but have felt fine since. Most of my neighbors have all had their first doses with no significant side effects.
