Slow ARP1 validation gives plenty of extra days. Workunit appears to accept late tasks while other tasks are just pending validation and not yet Valid.
BOINC client can automatically cancel never started late tasks, which can show up as "Error" in World Community Grid. If you overun by a little, you will validate, You would only lose the unit if a replacement could finish before you which is very very unlikely. Also they are being very slow to react to late runners so you will probably finish before a replacement gets sent out.

The processing time of the WUs from Africa Rainfall Project 7.32 has really grown. Sorry, the processing time has always been relatively the same, depending on the number of concurrent tasks and 'difficulty' of the ARP1-task itself.The 3 days deadline isn’t enough. Could you increase to 6 days the ARP1_0030267_131_3 WU (https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/workunit/169612553) ? Result name Status Sent time Due / Return time CPUtime/Elapsed Claimed/Granted[Copied from Workunit Status, generated by wcgformat (using these options: -oo)] If you are participating in ARP1 and want to return results in time, you are expected to do this within a certain deadline; currently this is 6 days. For a resend, the deadline is half that time, i.e. 3 days. If your machine can't keep up with that deadline, then you might want to reconsider participating in ARP1 or limit/lower the number of ARP1-tasks (or other tasks) that you receive. Thanks for spotting a bug in wcgformat though.  "A task in a workunit that errored out may have an empty CPUtime on the Workunit Status page." |

Krembil are reporting that all ARP1 units are averaging over 10 days to be completed so no need to worry about just missing a deadline.
