Re: BOINC System Restart
ARP is back!

It sure is! I got 10 of them this morning. They are not running yet because there are some MCM1 and OPN1 tasks ahead of them.

Well, "sure" might be a bit of a stretch, I just checked again, and it now shows one (1) ARP WU, on the slowest cruncher that I have running (an old Windows XP host)... wink

Re: BOINC System Restart

In the past week, I've gotten 47 ARP1 WUs. (And 1163 OPN1, and 2648 MCM1.) They out there.

Thanks to the team. It feels great to see WCG work flowing again.

Re: BOINC System Restart

I was hopeful that when the db cleanup was done, that we might get more ARP. I want to make sure that the Krembil knows we aren't getting ARPs right now. There might be a few resends, but I haven't seen a ARP WUs in a few days.

Re: BOINC System Restart

Nor have I. But I believe that I saw something not long ago that they were able to store more data at Krembil before Delft brought their new storage on-line.

Maybe they have hit the buffers again a little further down the track. Or maybe the 4-day weekend disturbed their flow.

Re: BOINC System Restart

I suppose the lack of ARP-tasks is due to waiting for the return of 2 valid tasks of 1 workunit of previous generations.
I got yesterday evening and last night 2 original tasks of generation 138.

Re: BOINC System Restart

I haven't seen any newbies since last week, but I received 3 re-sends this morning.

I don't know which processes are automatic and which have to be done manually. It may be that re-sends are automatic and newbies manual.

Re: BOINC System Restart

As we have been saying for a while...
If ARP is running into a space issue then they should be prioritizing running the ultras and extremes during this time only.
It does appear that they only ran <140 only though

I just got the task *_1 from this workunit:

Crystal Pellet

The 3 ultras have moved this week. The one in generation 15 has moved 3 generations to generation 18. The one in generation 17 has moved on 2 generations to 19 and that in 18 on 1 also to 19.

There were 3 units in generation 99 but now there is only 1. Some other extremes have also moved on.

Most of the work was in generations 136 & 137 but that was where the bulk lay.

Some other generations have moved, some of which could be validations of units stuck in PV status during the outage.
