Hello Blount and bfmorse, The tech team is aware of the issue and are working on resolving it. The issue is that some host IDs are reading 0 in the results table, causing MCM1 assimilators to quit at times. However, this has only affected about 10,000 results and new results are accumulating that are unaffected by this issue. They confirmed that we still have the time and space on the server to allow these results to accumulate while they work on finding a fix for this problem. Thanks for your patience as they work on resolving this issue. Thanks for the update. Let us hope they get it resolved so MCM can get back to full production. My Linux systems are almost keeping full caches, but on the Windows system it is hit and miss with more emphasis on the miss. Cheers
Sgt. Joe

Thanks for the update -- it is a lot easier to be patient when one knows what one is waiting for :-)...I'll bet that took some finding, and an elegant solution might be equally hard to find, I fear. I can think of some possible fixes but none of them are trivial (and they might not work anyway!) Good luck to the technicians! Cheers - Al. The assimilator(s) appeared to stop working early in the afternoon (UTC) of 2024-01-05, so by about the same time on 2024-01-06 there was nothing left to purge and counts started rising again...
For the evidence for that statement, and a bit of discussion about collecting relevant data as end users, see some posts in the current Project Status thread in the Chat room... Cheers - Al. |

Nice work, are certainly starting to move I have under 3000 results now :-) Odd, mine have started to go back up - over 13,000 now. Why is that odd? I was talking about my personal number of tasks are under 3000.2917 to be exact. Admittedly that number hasn't changed for several days but my original post is still correct because my tasks are under 3000. It could also be because I'm not processing tasks currently. There was almost 1.5 million results returned as at 1/9/24 00:06:03 ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Speedy51 at Jan 9, 2024 3:47:37 AM] |

Hooray! The backlog of validated-but-not-purged MCM workunits is reducing again!
Hopefully the process will be stable. On my machine, the last period of reduction only eliminated exactly 1 week's worth of the oldest Results, as measured by the Return Time. Now the oldest results are from 2023-10-31. |

In the past 2 days I have had 39 results purged, oldest result 2023-11-06. Pleased to hear you had a week's worth of work purged in one go
