Purged until Jan 20. So far I got four resends today - wahoo. I am down to about 9000 left to purge. Progress is being made.

My oldest unpurged results is now Jan 24. So far today, I have received 37 resends, all of them _2 resends. Yesterday, I got 51 resends, 50 of them _2 resends, and one _3 resend.

Maybe 'Days since last official update' would be fun to add to the Project Status. Interesting thought Thunder7. Are the little tidbits of info I find that TigerLily has posted in response to another thread official enough, or do you mean the "monthly" news updates? I find that MCM gives us the "monthly" updates we all like, but I don't think TigerLily can really make the other programs give us monthly updates. Another problem is that the rate of progress is sometimes so slow that there really isn't much to say. I feel like ARP has fallen into this too slow moving towards coming back that there really isn't much to say but "hey we are still working on the same issues from last time" category. I know I personally would love a monthly (or weekly) informal update on the status of each program, kind of like I put in the first post with a line about each project even if it is just "still working on it". I love that they told us OPNG was coming back at the end of the month. I totally understand that they can't give us a date for ARP, as it sounds like they are still working though some issues. Some people want dates and info because they are interested in the projects and want to know more. Some people want dates and info so they can say how they would have done it better if they were in charge. Releasing info can build a community up and make us excited to work on WUs and donate, or can be a blunt instrument that we use to beat up the WCG team when they don't meet a stated goal. I can definitely put a link to the last official news update for each project on the first page. I do like that idea. Thanks Thunder7 ! |

I'd like to see a thread that only WCG personal can post to for news. If folks have something to say about the news they can post to another thread. It seems to me there was a thread for the IBM techs to use years ago which was exclusive to them. Perhaps my memory is faulty but I agree there should be one. Cheers

It'd be nice, certainly, but they'd have to want to post. And if they wanted that, they'd be more visible somewhere here now, probably, apart from TigerLily.
