Hi
I set my profile to not get tasks from Mapping Cancer Markers about 3 months ago, and to the best of my knowledge, I've done nothing for 3 months... Is WCG dying a death? Is the concept flawed when a multiprocessor server with nVidia chips in can outperform us all? I've just turned the Mapping back on, but frankly I'm getting fed up with it. |

As far as I know:
----------------------------------------OPN and SCC simply don't have work available to run right now and it's not because of any issues with WCG. As for ARP there were some issues getting the application running on WCG and this was being worked on. Hi Well, beside that there have been some promises that some projects come back alive and that there even would be some new ones available "any day now", for at least the last 6 months, MCM has been the only project on WCG that has had any WUs available.. I set my profile to not get tasks from Mapping Cancer Markers about 3 months ago, and to the best of my knowledge, I've done nothing for 3 months... Is WCG dying a death? Is the concept flawed when a multiprocessor server with nVidia chips in can outperform us all? I've just turned the Mapping back on, but frankly I'm getting fed up with it. Just don't fuss with the settings, or select OPN (which would only have GPU tasks in the future) and maybe ARP and make sure you have the "give me work from other projects if available" option and you should get plenty of work, most of the time, just fine. Works for me on about two dozen hosts... Ralf  |
