Hello all, Hit [Retry Now] on the Transfer tab of the BOINC Manager, if the "Status" says "retry". Do NOT hit retry when the status is "active" or "pending".I currently have three PC's that are waiting to upload data to the Servers, but have not completed as of yet. World Community Grid - 100.000% - Uploading - 1d00:37:00 - '---' - 11/17/2024 7:00:20 AM - Africa Rainfall Project 7.32 - ARP1_0016148_140_4 What do I need to do to get these files uploaded? Mark Moss USA You might have to do this a few times, sometime maybe wait a couple of minutes before trying... EDIT: And in case of ARP1, there are seven (7) separate files for each ARP1 WU, ending in _6 (which is just a few bytes) and _0 through _5 (which vary a bit in the 11MB to 18MB range). The WU can be reported once ALL severn files of a WU have uploaded. Ralf ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by TPCBF at Nov 19, 2024 7:45:17 PM] |

Yes, I am down to 12 uploads to send across three tasks. I notice my event log is saying no ARP tasks are available at present.

I had about 260 MCM tasks uploading for 2 days on a single system, and I tried to retry it (linux command line), but the boinccmd was beyond my understanding. According to the man-page, an URL was needed, and a filename.
So I tried boinccmd --file_transfer www.worldcommunitygrid.org MCM1_0227927_6095_0_r801007238_0 retry but it complained 'GUI RPC error: No such project'. I'm not sure how to go from an url to a wrong project or back. Anyway, I detached the project and dumped those results and then re-attached the project. To bad about the results, but the system quickly got new MCM tasks and is now happily parsing 40 tasks again. What would be the correct incantation of boinccmd to retry a single file? |

thunder7,
It needs the http:// on the front and the trailing slash, thus: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/or, at least, it does in my Python scripts that invoke other bits of boinccmd... By the way, if it's choking like that excessive use of boinccmd (or BOINC manager) to poke the system may actually be counterproductive; YMMV... Cheers - Al. |

What would be the correct incantation of boinccmd to retry a single file? If you try "wcgresults -x" (manual page here) from the WCGtools package, it will take care of your incantations. ![]() Adri [Edit 1 times, last edit by adriverhoef at Nov 20, 2024 12:39:19 PM] |
