Running FightAids@Home alongside folding@home

I am running 'fightaids@home on both my laptop and desktop computer.
Tasks are being executed considerably slower on my desktop computer.Would the fact i am also running Stanford's folding@home software on my desktop computer account for this?

Re: Running FightAids@Home alongside folding@home

of course running bouth at once slows down bouth of them,

soo basically its like running either one of them at full speed

bytthemselves,

u dont gain nothin basically

unless u got dual core:)

i sugest run folding on one, and aids on the other

i think the admin will concur:)

Tim,

That certainly would account for the slowdown. Like mariduru said, it is essentially like running each program at half speed.
