Re: Herpes

maybe this project does not, but the simple cure for herpes is DMSO.
check DimethylSulphurOxide from Dr. Jacobs and discover the amazing properties of DMSO. I cured myself from it within a week of applying DMSO and it has never been back.
Happy New YEar.

Re: Herpes

Post hoc, ergo propter hoc?

Man, that takes me back. Was I even a teenager during the era of DMSO experimentation? It was a powerful solvent that could take a number of chemicals along with it right through the skin to the underlying tissue. After a short burst of medical experimentation, the realization spread - it was picking up all sorts of chemicals in the body as it moved through it and transporting these chemicals to other parts of the body where they did not belong. In short, it was a peculiar type of toxic chemical, with no real way to eliminate the toxic properties while keeping the desired chemical transport property. If it could have been used to take one drug to the one desired area - but it was too uncontrolled for that. skull

Re: Herpes

My Pharmacist has DMSO and made me a cream 50% with glycerine, I applied it to cold sores, which where gone in 2 days. Herpes never came back. Applied to other patients, same result. Herpes gone, for good...
It will be condemned and dismissed by all "normal" researchers and companies because it cannot be patented, it costs nothing and it cures for real. The doctor who prescribes it loses a patient.
So why use/market it? There is no money to be made.
But if YOU have Herpes cold sores, try it, and then tell me what happened.
And if you like to read what other people cured with plain old cheap DMSO, click this http://dmso.net/guestlist/
And from http://www.emmessar.com/chemical/company/company5.htm,
this:
For instance, DMSO will carry hydrocortisone or hexachlorophene into the deepest layers of the skin, producing a reservoir that remains for sixteen days and resists depletion by washing the skin with soap, water or alcohol. DMSO mixed with hydrogen peroxide 9% solution has proven highly effective in the treatment of oral and genital herpes when applied topically to the affected areas. Periodic outbreaks of the virus have been known in many cases to cease altogether with regular application.

BTW how to put a word on the newcomers "Hello" thread if it is a "read only"???

Re: Herpes

BTW how to put a word on the newcomers "Hello" thread if it is a "read only"???

The original purpose of the New Members Forum is stated:
This forum was previously used for the assistance for members who are new to the community. Information in this forum was posted and maintained by the member community and the World Community Grid Forum Admin. It has now be retired and replced by the Website Support, Windows Agent Support and Linux Agent Support forums.

As you can see, it was to have been one of the support forums -- not a vehicle for saying "hello". When the new support forum structure was initiated, the New Members Forum and the Member-to-Member Support Forum were retired. Threads such as the one to which you refer made it difficult at times to locate the posts of new users actually needing assistance with installation or registration. The Chat Room is better suited for "hello -- I'm here" postings if you really feel a need to do so.

Re: Herpes

Aikimark, In your post of Dec 10 you wrote:
"There are different strains of the human herpes virus (HHV). Some strains are carried by most humans and are relatively harmless. Other strains, like HHV-6, are suspected of contributing to the poor health/condition of Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia patients. HHV-6 is suspected of being more active in these patients and causing the immune system to work constantly to fight the (HHV-6) viral load. Epstein-barr and Cytomegalovirus strains are suspected in triggering and exacerbating FM/CFIDS. I can tell you, from direct observation of a patient over 10 years, that the FM/CFIDS condition is devastating. The patient's life comes to an abrupt halt, although they aren't spared by (comorbility) death. Death isn't the only criteria for research."

Do you know where I can get more detailed information on the information that you posted here; specifically concerning symptoms and treatment options? Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ray

Re: Herpes

...where I can get more detailed information...?

Start with a Google search (that's what I did) and it should lead you to the medical research sites, such as Medline and NIH. Ask your physician. Ask your county or state health professionals, since some herpes strains may be considered STDs.

There are some sites, such as herpes.com and herpeshelp.com, which may provide information and also sell you stuff. Be aware that such sites are commercial in nature and that not always your best source of accurate and unbiased information.

Also, look for support groups in your area.

Re: Herpes

with all respects to captainzen, there are so many people who suffer from herpes (mouth, face, genital etc.) that i believe your DMSO idea would have been all over the world by now.

i really don't think there is any medical conspiracy to make money by suppressing the information. possibly your symptoms were light, or you may have a recurrence next year, who knows. i understand some people (especially children) are lucky and may only have a one-time outbreak.

if it did work for you, that is great.

Re: Herpes

Captain Zen's second post is much more thoughtful and gives some GOOD examples of how to use DMSO. It is a familiar situation - suffering human on the one hand and imperfect drug with known side effects on the other hand. I was scared by the uncritical praise given to DMSO in the first post. Some additional cautions - always apply the combination DMSO + drug with an applicator. Otherwise you will be absorbing an enormous dose through your hands. Secondly, there will be some uncontrolled dispersal of your own biochemicals caused by this procedure ( sad ). Use ONLY under skilled medical direction.

Incidentally, the procedures Captain Zen discusses are for topical relief of symptoms caused by herpes rather than for an actual cure of the root cause. Which is great as long as you are aware of what is going on. Clear up those sores!

Re: Herpes

I found another possible connection between herpes and HIV:

"Herpes in pregnancy may raise HIV risk for baby"
