Re: Crunchers Inc........Boinc to the future

I just switch some over a couple days ago and it was effortlessly easy and all is working out well so far with the credits going to our team at WCG.

Re: Crunchers Inc........Boinc to the future

Thanks for the info. How are you liking the BOINC client as compared to the UD one?

Re: Crunchers Inc........Boinc to the future

I assumed it helped slower machines with points but maybe penalized faster ones?

Re: Crunchers Inc........Boinc to the future

Hello big VAIO!

Hiya Wee Wilber biggrin

CPDN, Seti & WCG teams have the full stop; all the others do not. None of us track the BOINC stats so it doesn't matter that we (seem to) have 2 teams. We generally track our progress at the Vault only

http://www.dc-vault.com/showscores.php

I much prefer BOINC, more flexible and it doesn't cap my faster machines.

That's not my experience so far. It seems to help slower machines and even more so faster ones.

As far as a link goes…

Re: Crunchers Inc........Boinc to the future

BOINC is installed and running. I thought I had only opted to run HPF but I see BOINC makes it's own "default" device profile, and although I had my WCG clients set specifically to one project, the "my projects" section had all selected. I changed it and we'll see whether I get only HPF work units. So far so good. And no silly graphics is nice biggrin
