Hello!
----------------------------------------When I follow the Link "View your scores" in UD-Agent I get the following message in the browser window: The page you requested is currently unavailable due to scheduled system maintenance such as database backups or application updates. Please try again later. When I then enter my credentials in the upper right corner of the web page I am directed to the desired "My Grid" page. But when I then use the "My Grid" button I again get the above error message. This time it is a point of no return because the fields to enter credentials are replaced by my brief status (name, points, ranking). This behavior seems to be since the french web site update. Best regards Thorsten [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 2, 2006 2:05:28 PM] |

Can you please try again - we were actually doing some maintenance yesterday so that would be the intended behavior at that time. I just tried the links from the UD agent and was able to get to the correct pages.
thanks, Kevin |

Hi Kevin!
I tried again. This time using only the browser. Here is what I did and the results. 1. Open http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org in IE6 2. Press "My Grid" Result: Message "The page you requested is currently unavailable due to scheduled system maintenance such as database backups or application updates. Please try again later." appears with fields for credentials in upper right corner of the page. 3. Enter my credentials in mentioned fields Result: My statistics page appears 4. Press "My Grid" Result: Message "The page you requested is currently unavailable due to scheduled system maintenance such as database backups or application updates. Please try again later." appears with my brief status in upper right corner of the page. Browser Back button and "My Grid" always lead back to this same result 5. Press "Sign out" 6. Sign in again with my credentials Result: My Statistics appears again 7. Follow Link to "My Team" (either on the left navigation frame or the link behind "My Team" on statistics page Result: Message "The page you requested is currently unavailable due to scheduled system maintenance such as database backups or application updates. Please try again later." appears with my brief status in upper right corner of the page. The link at the bottom in the "Team history and statistics" section opens the desired Team page. HTH to debug the web site... Best regards Thorsten |

I tried to duplicate this problem, but everything worked normally.
Do you use a proxy? Otherwise, I would advise purging your cache (and cookies) and trying again. |

Hi @ all!
----------------------------------------I emptied my browser cache and deleted all the cookies and even rebooted the machine. Still same results. And... No, there is no proxy configured. Best regards Thorsten EDIT: Just ask a colleage to try on his machine.....Same result as mine. It's both from an IBM c4eb (mine W2K, other XP) from IBM network. Hi!
Another discovery which could help to solve the problem: The "My Grid" button refers to http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewMyMemberPage.do When I signed in, my member page shows URL https ://secure .worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewMyMemberPage.do As far as I see there are some web pages secured (member pages and team pages) and some not. Secure pages which are refered to by the correct URL (with https://secure....) are working correctly. Secure pages with a referenced by an unsecured URL (http://www.....) are rerouted to the maintenance message. ![]() Best regards Thorsten |

Interesting.
You aren't quite right in your assessment. The only secure request is to the login processor, which is then supposed to redirect you to the page you want. However, due to some bug in the login, I have noticed that sometimes it redirects to the page using the wrong protocol (https). When this happens, you will view all pages over the secure connection until you click on an absolute link -- and you will get annoying "mixed security" warnings on the forum, because many images are hosted externally. I found it hard to pinpoint exactly when this happens, but it seems to happen when your session times out while browsing the forum. I have no clue how this ties in with your problem. :-S |

Please try this:
----------------------------------------Login from the home page and then when you get the maintenance page please paste the following URL http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewMyMemberPage.do?random=12341243 [Edit 1 times, last edit by knreed at Feb 2, 2006 8:01:34 PM] |

Hi knreed!
This morning I tried it again and this time it worked. Even before I tried the link from your last post. The difference on my side: This time I was connected from my home network, but still the same machine. I will check again when I am back in the office. But this will be not before Feb, 20th Best regards Thorsten |
