...In fact IBM have no necessary to gain profit from the grid. They've had enough money already lol LOL - you can never be too thin or too rich. Do not underestimate what charitible and not-for-profit contributions can do for the corporate image as well as the bottom line.  I have no problem with both IBM and humanity gaining from this venture.  |

G'day all. I heard on a team's board that P@H was selling results they obtained from computing of voluteers....  .I've heard this too but it has not been substantiated, and the one case I heard about was not directly involving the P@H project. Personally I'd still call it "rumor". Unfortunately the P@H team is so inactive on the forums they probably won't see or clarify this. Good to know that WCG stays in the public domain. p.s. Thanks suguruhirahara for the RSS link, I hadn't seen it either. @WCG: Consider putting a link to the RSS feed on your front page?  |

btw, how many of you are fed up with discussion at R@H?
I stop crunching R@H completely because forums are becomming savege. Indeed, since I've thought that I would crunch until CASP7 was over, so it's no problem. But... I'm disappointed at the atmosphare over the project and its forums. It's no necessary to stick to a project. There are many projects in which are worth for me to participate like WCG! Are you other DC project seeking? Visit "cell computing birth" at: http://www.cellcomputing.net/simple/ It's hosted by NTT Communications, a japanese telecommunication company. The website is available in Japanese only, but all of you may participate in the grid. Because the project uses BOINC as the core client, you can run it with other BOINC projects at the same time. Unfortunately BOINC Synergy will be overtaken by Fansub for research in a day. But please keep crunching as much as you can. (stats here) In addition this team will be get ahead of by other two teams, Free-DC and Dutch Power Cows, in the next week. Their work must be worth for appriciation, but I wish this team could have more teammates and compete with them for longer.
