Wrong university. Ohio University is in Athens.
----------------------------------------The Health Daily article also got it wrong. Ohio State University, which has nothing to do with this and has a large football stadium, is in Columbus.

Guess, you can't even depend on the news to get things right anymore :( This appears to be a correct link to Ohio Athens.

Being a European, when you said Athens, I at first assumed you were talking about the one in Greece! After all, it was there first, by a considerable number of centuries. I thought Boy were they wrong! Someone tell the Greeks!
----------------------------------------![]() But apparently, this Athens is in Ohio. Athens has a university called Ohio University, which is distinct from Ohio State university, which is in Columbus, also in Ohio. It is a bit of a local matter then really! Ohio University (Athens, Ohio) makes no mention of this latest breakthrough about proteins - but does have the earlier article from 2002 about HIV targeting CD4T cells (rather old news). Yahoo did get it right after all. Ohio state University may have a football team, but it also has a large medical research facility:- http://medicine.osu.edu/ For the new HIV proteins story see this Article:- http://medicalcenter.osu.edu/mediaroom/press/article.cfm?ID=2515 Best wishes to all from Birmingham (not the one in Alabama!) ![]() |

This one has a 42 foot statue of Athena in it, but isn't in Athens. And its clear for an international community, that this one IS in Nashville, Tennessee, the default, unqualified assumption for Nashville. Its not Nashville, Indianna, or Nashville, Kansas etc (there is even one in OHIO!) - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nashville_%28disambiguation%29 Wikipedia is wonderful, is it not! Like grid computing, it is a testament to the goodness and generosity of human nature. Just a bit of fun, and some interesting stuff along the way. I think we had better quit before we are accused of drifting off topic! ![]() ![]() |
