When is this project finished?

Hello,

I'd like to know what is the goal in years to finish this project? Now we have about 172 years of total CPU-time, but what might be the estimated final total CPU-Time for this project?

Cheers,
Chris

In terms of real time many have stated the project will take approximately a year.

One report in a seattle news paper stated it would take 3-6 months!

This is dependant on the number of work units that are required for completion - maybe this could be added to the stats site:

No of units completed / total units to completion

Would be nice to have a goal figure...

An estimate of the total number of results would be nice. According to the Protein Data Bank there are 28278 structures. (http://www.rcsb.org/pdb/) I was under the impression that we downloaded a protein structure, folded the stuffing out of it and then returned it. We are now at 70,000 results so obviously this can't be the case. If it's one of these mathematically impossible to calculate things then no one can tell exactly how long it will take but a general idea would be nice. smile
