Plastic sounds unlikely. Anodised aluminium? The best ones are copper, but aluminium is common.

yes on a second look it apears to be the fan mount drops down both sides of the heatsink, its metalic after all.
but not quite usefull right now. |

Hi ORAKK !
----------------------------------------i have been experimenting with the CPU throttle. i have it set at 55% currently and it seems stable. it is pretty darn slow at this setting though, but with only one machine i want to be conservative. conservative is not my normal style, but i would cry if this machine died, and crying is not macho, so must be avoided. life is good ! -- This post had been edited for inappropriate language - nelsoc [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 21, 2006 12:21:54 PM] |

A bit of both maybe, but I do have an old 586 running in a bath of cooking oil at the moment. Running the oil through a distiller to keep the water out seems to do the trick.
