How are the techs doing on fixing HPF-2 problems?

i'm curious if they found the source of the problems on some work units. was it a simple programming error? are the units repairable?

of course i'm happy that cancer is out now. but i don't want to see another 'scandal' like i went through at grid.org, where everything got messed up, and then covered up! smile

personally, their responsiveness has been wonderful so far. just my point of view. thanks.

Hi halfcard,
There is still a lot of debugging to do on HPF2. If HDC goes well, the staff will be able to concentrate on HPF2.

Hi halfcard

The last I heard they are taking hpf2 temporarily offline to have a closer look and get to the root of the bug before reinstating the project. This, as you point out, is the right way to approach such problems. We are in the good position of having a great many other types of Work Unit to crunch while this issue gets sorted.

I'm sure Lawrence and the other CA's will keep you posted.

Dave
