html buttons or banners

I would like to make a suggestion which may get more people to join the Grid. Perhaps a new section of the main website could be devoted to html buttons or banner ads that individuals can copy and add to their personal websites to encourage all those who visit their site regularly to sign up.

Keep up the great work!

Re: html buttons or banners

Several have suggested things like that.

So far, the lawyers do not want to make the WCG logo available for public consumption.

Folks must make do with a text link. crying

Re: html buttons or banners

It's been a while... Might be if enough of us ask for a HTML button we can use on our personal web sites, we may get the layers to bend a bit and allow us one.

Having one available can only help to recruit more people to the projects. biggrin

Re: html buttons or banners

It's not exactly that the lawyers are inflexible - but the mills of god are grinding very slowly indeed. Current state of play is we have a promise the issue will be reviewed. The recent project launches meant that WCG had more urgent priorities, but as soon as the HPF2 bugs are chased down your CAs will get back to cracking the whip on your behalf.

If you want to use the logo now, and you have a specific use in mind, then send an email to WCG requesting permission and including full details or an example of how the logo will appear. For it to be accepted, make sure the logo is on its own with plenty of space around it, and it should also link back to wcgrid.org
