Likely reason for recent Paused Agents

Quite a few users are reporting that their agents are currently paused, not processing any work, and not accumulating more points. This is most likely because the Human Proteome Folding (HPF1) project finished around the beginning of July 2006 and we have paused running Human Proteome Folding Phase 2 (HPF2) work since about 2006/7/20 while we upgrade the Rosetta research program used for the project. The other projects have much higher minimum memory (RAM) or cpu speed requirements which most likely means your machine may not qualify to run the remaining projects. We should have HPF2 back up and running in just a few more weeks. So please be patient. The agent will automatically check from time to time and as soon as HPF2 is back on-line, your agent should be able to resume processing. You may be interested in knowing we have some other projects that will launch soon that do not require so much memory and/or cpu speed. Please take a look at the following link, which lists the minimum machine requirements for the current projects: System Requirements. However, it may be that your agent is experiencing any number of other conditions that can produce the "Agent paused" message. The following page describes these: Reasons for Paused Agent
