A number of teams seem to have pre-Christmas drop in output. Not really a surprise with vacations and all, but could make for an interesting finish. Could as well be the lacking start and end hours. This may have caught many participants by surprise, including myself. Not the very best of all solutions, WCG. ![]() ![]() |

We just saw that our team, despite by now be times more better in the daily results, points and time processed, with the increasing in points criteria we are in very very bad position...
----------------------------------------Interesting saw that we drop to a deep place before start increase slowly again last days... isn't a question of focus but probably we will avoid participate in challenges with this criteria in the future, once it is based on historical averages to provide the increases which ever will be hard to get if the team are not increasing constantly the results/points/time performances. For us, the participation spirit is more important, but was a lesson learned about how we need put more focus to increase our results in WCG overall metrics. Thank you for the nice work and good idea to provide us this great challenge. Merry Christmas for all !
Cheers ! GIB@

So, while we are waiting for the final results, time to say thank you to all participants and teams. I am sure the less common 'increase' challenge offered many surprises and added a little bit of entertainment or sometimes annoyance, depending on the point of view.
----------------------------------------For the small teams certainly this once was an advantage. Thanks to all - and the winner is: WCG - and all of us. Have a great Christmas time. ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Mad Matt at Dec 25, 2010 12:32:43 AM] |

Thank you all for participation in this nice race. Rechenkraft.net wishes a Merry Christmas to all of you.
----------------------------------------For me it was interesting how a increase-in-points-challenge is working and how difficuilt t is for big teams to climb up the ranking. This is surely a kind of challenge which attracts small teams. Thanks also for the nice graphs. yoyo |

Wish WCG could put all those data into one challenge and offer more than just a daily update. That would make racing more entertaining and give big and small teams something to cheer about. Just as a Christmas wish... Thank you and merry Christmas to you all. And special thanks to Rechenkraft.net for keeping up this traditional event. Always a highlight for me. ![]() |
