Re: any thinkpad fans here?

I've been using Thinkpads at work for many years and I love these machines. But of course, as they belong to my company, I never modify anything on them.

My current Thinkpad is a T410, with a Core i5 560M. smile

Re: any thinkpad fans here?

After I was made redundant from IBM (and thus, had to hand my company issued Thinkpad back), I went out and bought my own (a T410) because I liked them so much and they hardly put a foot wrong. Two years later, now that I've finally managed to find some work (albeit a 3 month tempory conract), I'm planning on upgrading it slightly - by adding more memory/a more powerful powerpack.

So, yes, I'm a fan biggrin

Re: any thinkpad fans here?

If you guys are BOINC'in on your Thinkpad's I suggest this app:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/tp4xfancontrol/
It will ramp up your fan speed keeping it cooler. It does a better job than the default internal setting from the bios. wink
