I have a FAAH work unit whose status is uploading but there nothing in "Transfers" window.
I have tried aborting it, rebooting the system, waiting for the deadline to pass but nothing seems to shift it. I do I get rid of this work unit? I am running a Windows 8 machine. |

I have the same problem : 13 tasks uploading. No new tasks available. Since yesterday 17hr.

Do you see anything in the Event Log (BOINC 7)/Messages tab (BOINC 6) that mentions anything about trying to upload files? A copy of that here would help us help you.

i've seen that a lot. it goes away after a while. as far as i know, the unit will in fact be uploaded. there is some type of delay either in the sending or the confirmation, but it does go through.

I have seen nothing in the Event Log and it now does not extend far enough back in time.
All other work units are working fine, |

Try a BOINC de-install/re-install, you will not lose anything

It's happened to me on two different systems, always after a power outage. Something happens to the work unit and it shows the status of uploading with no files on the transfers tab.

The last one I got rid of by doing a project reset. This one is so intermittent and requires such specific circumstances that I doubt it can be replicated well enough to troubleshoot. The work unit will report on the server as "no reply" eventually; and, as far as I can tell, it never goes away. The last one I got rid of by doing a project reset. This one is so intermittent and requires such specific circumstances that I doubt it can be replicated well enough to troubleshoot. I also have one in that status and it is definitely due to a power outage. As far as I can tell the only way to get rid of it is the project reset or to do a reinstall. Since it is not bothering anything, it can just sit there. It is a rare event. Cheers
