Re: Crunchers Inc........Boinc to the future

Currently only at 2.75 Ghz rather than 2.4. But thats on air. Running a little hot (56) for my liking - and needs a little more voltage for true stability I suspect. I'll either have to drop back a few points or consider water....

I read someplace that the 180 (or 4800+ X2) is the equivalent of 2 4000+'s.

The results I'm getting give testimony to that. Good value for money biggrin

I was thinking of another Venice, but now that I hear you say such good things about its big brothers . . . . thinking

56*C certainly seems high, my Venice 3000+ (now 2250MHz) runs below 40*C, but that's in the garage where it stays Crunching-friendly wink

Was reading a review the other day about these things; apparently extra voltage doesn't make such a big difference as it did with the earlier AMD chips. Might want to sort your cooling . . . .

Two cores=lotsa heat............true, they don't take well to ramping the volts.
But then, they don't need much for a respectable clock smile
