Application exited with RC = 0x1 (Job 6 out of 7)

Result Name: E227712_ 595_ S.306.C33H39N3O6.R...FFFAOYSA-N.4_ s1_ 14_ 0--

Unusually long running one, it crashed after 15 hours.

Maybe some internal time limit that has been exceeded?

(actually Job 7 out of 8 but counting starts at 0)

A return code of 0x1 is a normal way for CEP2 work units to finish. Watch the work unit in 'results status' on the website. The wingman's work unit is likely to do the same and both will validate.

I have way more wingmen than usual now, all with the same error, but still not valid :

Re: Application exited with RC = 0x1 (Job 6 out of 7)

Tasks for CEP2 cut out at about 5 error copies after which they are automatically put on a 'investigate' list.

We can not see result log details from a link, only the header!

I have a work unit that has ended in status Error three times now, and it has been sent out fourth time. I wonder if it's really necessary. smile

Yes, the server does not know how to interpret the errors and it does happen where multiple clients fail, and still succeed on some on the grid. Saves investigation time smile . There's some tasks mols that slip through the filters and succeed on only a limited number of hosts, too large for most, one of the reasons, these mols meant to only run on an in-house cluster. Nothing is perfect. wink

Bad workunit? All error results seem to have a normal boinc_finish.

Re: Application exited with RC = 0x1 (Job 6 out of 7)

Maybe a stupid question, but what does "RC" stand for?

Re: Application exited with RC = 0x1 (Job 6 out of 7)

Don't know [Really Crummy ;]... just had a series of RC = 0x1 on CEP2 and it turned out I made a mistake by backing up over the LAN to the BOINC partition instead of the main data drive... no disk space left and no work coming either as it said blah blah blah, "you currently have 22.60MB available".
